Slot Machines on Our Floor
At Grand Villa Casino Edmonton, the slot floor is really the core of what we do. We usually operate somewhere in the 520 to 600 machine range across a 30,000 square foot gaming area in the middle of Edmonton’s ICE District. That count moves a little from time to time as we adjust the layout and swap configurations. If you want the precise number before you head in, calling us at +1 780-413-3178 is still the most accurate way to get a current figure.
Our mix of titles is fairly broad without being confusing. On the floor you will see 88 Fortunes, Jungle Wild, American Original, Suraci, Jackpot Junction, along with several other games in both traditional reel formats and modern video slots. Denominations vary across the section, so players with smaller or larger session budgets can usually land on a machine that feels comfortable. When we first opened in September 2016, we started out with 600 slot machines, and the current operating range is just the result of normal changes over the last years.

Hours and How the Floor Is Set Up
Our gaming hours are straightforward: we are open every day from noon through to 3 AM. That schedule applies to both the slot machines and our live table games. The property connects directly with Rogers Place arena on the east side, so if you come through the ICE District pedestrian system, reaching the casino floor is usually a simple walk.
Apart from the slot area, the floor set up includes electronic table games such as Dynasty Roulette, along with live dealer tables for baccarat, blackjack, roulette, and Ultimate Texas Hold’em. We do not operate a separate poker room on-site. Ultimate Texas Hold’em on the main floor is the only poker-style option available here.
Finding Your Machine and Getting Started
If you are walking into Grand Villa Casino Edmonton for the first time, the slot section is quite easy to get comfortable with, even if you are new to casinos. A first visit usually looks a bit like this:
- Come in either from 104 Ave NW, or use the ICE District indoor pedestrian connections.
- Make your way to the main gaming floor, which sits in the central area of our 60,000 sq ft complex.
- The slot area covers most of that space, so you will naturally end up there after a short walk.
- Choose a machine by game name, denomination, or style, using the floor signage as a quick reference.
- Insert cash or a ticket voucher from a previous session to load your credits.
- Before you spin, set your bet amount with the on-screen controls, and adjust as you go.
- When you want to finish up, hit “Cash Out”. The machine will print a voucher that you can redeem at any of the kiosks on the floor.
- If you are not yet enrolled in Winners Edge, drop by Guest Services near the main entrance so your play can start earning rewards.
There is one simple habit that helps in almost any casino: take a short walk around before sitting down. A quick lap gives you a sense of the layout, the noise levels, and which sections feel right for how you prefer to play. It is a small thing, but it usually makes the session smoother.
Our floor is set up to be fully wheelchair accessible. That includes the paths between machines, the washrooms, and the routes to food and beverage areas, so guests using mobility devices can move around without needing special arrangements.
Winners Edge - Our Loyalty Program
We take part in Winners Edge, which is Alberta’s province-wide casino rewards program. With this card, you earn points from both slot machines and table games, and those points can be used at participating casinos in Alberta. It is important to note that the program is tied to physical properties and not run as a separate online rewards platform.
Enrollment for Winners Edge is handled at our on-site Guest Services desk. For this property, we do not have confirmed online registration. Once your card is set up, you present it at the slots or at the tables so your play can be tracked and points can accumulate correctly.
| Loyalty Program | Winners Edge (Alberta provincial program) |
|---|---|
| Enrollment location | Guest Services, on-site |
| Points earned on | Slot machines and table games |
| Redemption scope | Participating Alberta casinos |
| Online enrollment | Not confirmed |
Because Winners Edge runs at the provincial level, the same card is recognized at multiple casino locations in Alberta, not just at Grand Villa Edmonton. For anyone who visits different properties around the province, this is one of the more practical aspects of the program.
